Capturing Theme Park Family Memories in Photo Album
Theme parks, also known as fun parks, are a great holiday destinations for family groups, and can be found all around the world in a number of different locations. Theme parks are also known as amusement parks, which is the generic name for any collection of rides and entertainment attractions in a particular area. Theme parks are slightly more specialised, being based on a particular theme or groups of themes. Theme parks are especially popular with children and the young at heart, and are featured in countless family photo album books and collections. The broad smiling faces of kids who have just finished their favourite ride, or the worried look of a dad at the top of a rollar coaster, are great content for any family album, and a fantastic way to keep all of those theme park memories intact.

Amusement parks evolved in Europe from traditional fairs and pleasure gardens, with the oldest park known operating in Denmark from the year 1583. In North America, world fairs and expositions also influenced theme park evolution and design during these formative years. Theme parks differ from amusement parks, in that the rides and attractions are all designed around a particular theme or group of themes, often using corporate characters and branding. In large famous theme parks like Disneyland, there are a number of themes set out in different areas of the park site. Some of the most famous rides and attractions at modern day theme parks include roller coasters, thrill rides, train rides, water rides, animal shows, and children’s rides. Along with rides, shows and features are also often seen under awning (Markisen) structures and in mini stadiums. Theme parks work on either a pay-as-you-go or a pay-once basis, depending on the size of the park and the business model of the organisation involved.
Digital technology has given holiday makers more power to create and select different holiday images with ease, and digital storage has given people the ability to create their own photo book design through online albums. Holiday makers now have the ability to share their family theme park photos with friends and family all over the world, which they can even do while they are still away on holiday. What grandparent would not be thrilled to receive pictures of their grandkids at their favourite theme park only hours after the pictures were taken? Traditional hard copy photo album books still have an important role to play on family bookshelves, but online albums and virtual photo books can provide a number of extras features that are great for holiday makers and people with friends and family abroad.
